KARACHI: Bears dominated the local share market Monday eroding 104 points from the benchmark KSE-100 Index which closed at 9,701.

The stock market started off with red numbers and remained in the grips of selling pressure throughout the session. At one point the major Index was witnessed at 9,666 points but later buying in energy counters helped reduce the losses, pushing the Index to close at the current level.

The trade volume was recorded at 130 million shares.

Pak PTA led the front runners in terms of volume which lost paisa 1 to finish the day at Rs3.36.

On the other hand, KSE-30 Index slid 138 points to peg at 10,036.

Market analysts further correction in the equities market in the days to come.
