Oil prices lower in Asian trade SINGAPORE: Oil prices were lower in Asian trade on Wednesday in a market overshadowed by the weakening global economy, analysts said.

New York's main futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in March, eased one cent to 34.92 dollars a barrel. Brent North Sea crude for April delivery fell 30 cents to 40.73 dollars.
