Tendulkar 200 guides India to series win
Updated at: 2153 PST,  Wednesday, February 24, 2010
GWALIOR: Sachin Tendulkar became the first player to score a double century in one-day international cricket as India beat South Africa by 153 runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Tendulkar whacked 200 not out in 147 balls to lead India to 401-3at Roop Singh Stadium.

He had no little help from Dinesh Karthik with 79 and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's unbeaten 68.

South Africa was bowled for 248 in the 43rd over despite a fighting unbeaten 114 by AB de Villiers.

The third one-dayer is on Saturday at Ahmedabad.
