Want to resolve SC verdict issue peacefully: Zia LAHORE: Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qasim Zia said on Thursday our party is still struggling to take N-league on board in forming next government. He was talking to media in Punjab Governor House after he attended a high level meeting chaired by Governor Salman Taseer.

He said convening, Provincial Assembly session, rests upon the shoulder of Governor in absence of leader of the house (Chief Minister) adding next CM will be chosen from the party present in majority in Assembly.

Security was on high alert around Governor House besides; barbed wire fences kept encircled the house during meeting.

Qasim Zia on the occasion said, “The Supreme Court verdict adversely affected the PPP government. We are depressing on the SC ruling.”

We are trying hard to resolve the issue peacefully so that N-league could be taken on board in forming next government, he maintained.
