Artificial shortage of petroleum products begins RAWALPINDI: Artificial shortage of petroleum products has been reported in different parts of the country including Rawalpindi one day ahead of a possible revision in prices by the government.

The shortage is being witnessed even after Finance Advisor Shaukat Tarin had already ruled out any reduction in the POL prices in near future.

According to sources of Oil Companies Advisory Committee the sale of petroleum products was recorded at 2,000 to 2,500 tonnes on February 26 which normally remains around 4,000 to 4,500 tonnes.
