Three killed celebrating Basant in Punjab LAHORE: Three people lost their lives and scores others were injured while celebrating Basant festival in various cities of Punjab on Friday.

Five seriously injured were admitted to a local hospital.

According to details, three men were killed in separate incidents of falling off roofs and firing in Sargodha, Shorkot and Kamonki.

Basant was celebrated in different parts of Punjab including Shaikhupura, Kasoor, Sahiwal and Okara in spite of the ban.

Firing amid Basant celebration in Kamonki killed a teenaged girl while two young men died after falling off a roof in Sargodha and Shorkot.

Similarly, more than 40 people were injured while flying kites or running after them in Kasoor, 5 of them injured critically were shifted to the General Hospital Lahore.
