PPP parliamentary party finalizes strategy for NA session
Updated at: 1746 PST,  Saturday, February 28, 2009
ISLAMABAD: The PPP parliamentary party Saturday finalised its strategy for the national assembly session summoned to debate the situation in the wake of disqualification of Sharif brothers.

The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at parliament house reviewed the situation in the country, in light of the meeting of the federal cabinet and finalised its strategy for the session.

An extraordinary meeting of the federal cabinet on Friday discussed threadbare the political and law and order situation in the country following the decision by the Supreme Court on disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif.

The cabinet moved a summary to the President for convening the session of the national assembly to discuss the situation and make efforts to defuse the political temperature that has risen following the decision.
