Ulema to foil sectarianism plot: Malik ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said the bid to pitch the people from Deobandi and Braveli sects against each others is an extremely heinous conspiracy, Geo News reported Sunday.

According to a statement issued here from Interior Ministry, he said the ulema from both the schools should foil the conspiracy aimed at fanning the sectarianism in the country.

The federal minister phoned Tanzeemul Madaris chief Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Wafaqul Madaris’ Secretary General Maulana Haneef Jalandhari and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed with them the overall present situation in the country.

Malik said the miscreants who are involved in the extremism to boost sectarianism would not be forgiven at any cost.
