 2 killed as bridge blown up in Jamrud

2 killed as bridge blown up in Jamrud PESHAWAR: Two persons were killed and five others injured when militants blown up a bridge in tehsil Jamrud of Swat.

According to sources, militants blew away a TD Bazar bridge at Pak- Afghan highway in tehsil Jamrud. Two persons were killed and five others seriously injured in the blast whereas a trailer used for NATO supplies had also been destroyed. The injured were shifted to Jamrud hospital.

The traffic including NATO supplies trailers and other vehicular traffic has been suspended after destruction of the bridge.

Meanwhile, another blast was reported at Pak-Afghan highway in Shahgai area. However no loss of life was reported in the blast.
