Former Nazims slam govt over new tax
Updated at: 1457 PST,  Monday, February 09, 2009
KARACHI: Former Nazims from Al-Khidmat group have expressed concerns over the promulgation of infrastructure tax in the city.

They said the Karachiites were already suppressed by various taxes.

Al Khidmat group Nazims said that hike in the prices of electricity; gas and other consumer goods has badly affected people.

They said Karachi is hub of country’s economic activities and more taxes on its people would make it difficult for people to make both ends meet.
