MEXICO CITY: World number five Venus Williams destroyed Italy's Flavia Pennetta in just over one hour to win the women's singles at the Acapulco Open on Saturday.
The Wimbledon champion, seeded one, beat the defending champion and number two seed 6-1 6-2 in one hour and two minutes as she followed up last week's win in Dubai with another title.
