Bandit dies, policeman injured in Mardan encounter MARDAN: In a police encounter that took place here resulted in the death of a bandit, while the dacoits’ firing injured one policeman.

Sources said that police on a tip-off swiftly moving into action tried to arrest the dacoits alive at Gajar Garhi, but the bandits on seeing the police resorted to firing, which the police retaliated resulting in the death of one bandit. Sources said that one constable injured in dacoits’ firing was immediately rushed to the hospital.
