Long march to be stopped at every cost: Sardar Asif
Updated at: 2349 PST,  Wednesday, March 11, 2009
Long march to be stopped at every cost: Sardar Asif LAHORE: Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali, has said that long march will take the country towards devastation; therefore, government will stop it at all costs.

Addressing a news conference at the Chief Minister House here on Wednesday, he said that the objective of the long march was to derail the democracy.

The government would not allow any third power to take advantage of this situation, he said.

He further said that time for reconciliation with Muslim League-Nawaz was over and now PPP-PML-Q government would be formed in Punjab.

Sardar Asif said that no PML-N leader or MPA would be arrested, but added that nobody would be allowed to take law into hand.
