Fire breaks out in Liaquatabad market KARACHI: Fire has erupted in a big super market of Liaquatabad in Karachi here on Sunday morning while as many as eighteen fire tenders have been dispatched to the incident scene, Geo news reported.

The rescue efforts are underway meanwhile, as many as two shops have been torched by the mighty blazes and more fire tenders have been called in to step up rescue efforts, fire fighting sources said.

The Edhi welfare workers have also arrived on the place of fire and taking part in rescue work while the police said that the fire broke out on account of short circuit in a garments shop, sources added.

Sources confirmed that police and ranges’ troops have been called in for helping hand in rescue efforts while due to the congested area, fire fighters are facing hardships in rescue work.
