| GEO Business | | UAE keen to invest in Pakistan | Updated at: 1326 PST, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 DUBAI: United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its willingness to make investments in Pakistan, which has given hope of $1 billion investments soon following.
Textile Advisor, Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Beg heading FPCCI 35-member delegation on a visit to UAE told this exclusively to Geo News. He said that the delegation during its five-day tour would pave way for the promotion of bilateral trade. He said that the delegation had a meeting with UAE education minister and Abu Dhabi Group chairman Sheikh Al Nahyan al Mubarak, who expressed his interest in making investments in agriculture, infrastructure, Halal food items, recycled energy and such other sectors.
Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Beg expressed the hope that this tour would result in drawing investments of over $1 billion into the country.
