Govt to offer shares of three companies by year-end ISLAMABAD: The government decided on Thursday to put on auction shares of three companies with management control under its privatisation policy.

Federal Minister for Privatisation and Investment Syed Naveed Qamar told a foreign news agency in an interview that shares of National Power Construction Company, Jamshoro Power Company and Heavy Electrical Complex would be offered for an open bidding.

The minister said the objective of auction was modernising of the functioning of the three companies with an effective managerial control.
