LAHORE: The central leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-N seemed reluctant to comment on the President’s address to the joint sitting of the Parliament on Saturday. PML-N does not seem to be fully content with the President’s announcements.
Geo News correspondents repeatedly tried to contact Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and their staff but failed to get through.
Senator Pervez Rasheed, spokesman of Shahbaz Sharif, said the reaction will be expressed in full detail on Sunday.
Central Secretary Information of PML-N Ahsan Iqbal welcomed the recommendation of lifting the Governor Rule in Punjab. He, however, added: “ The credit of this development goes to our members of the assembly who remained loyal to the party.”
He also described the announcement of implementation on Charter of Democracy (CoD) as a positive step but added that no timeframe or roadmap in this regard was given. | |
