Pak citizens in US need Pakistani passport for Indian visas
Updated at: 0728 PST,  Tuesday, March 30, 2010
Pak citizens in US need Pakistani passport for Indian visas CHIKAGO: Indian embassy based in US has barred Pakistani nationals having US citizens to seek Indian visa on US passport instead they will now require Pakistani passport to travel to India, Geo news reported.

Indian embassy in Chicago told a visa applicant – a Pakistani citizen based in US, to apply with a Pakistani passport for sake of Indian visa.

As a result of this Indian government decision, now the Pakistani national US citizens will remain deprived of US consulate’s cooperation during their stay in India.

It will also result in delay in visa issuance, as the concerned authorities in India will thoroughly scrutinize documents before issuing visa, the embassy told applicants.
