KARACHI: Foreign exchange reserves rose to $14.80 billion in the week ending on Feb 27 from $14.37 billion the previous week after the payments from Coalition Support Fund, a State Bank of Pakistan official said on Thursday.

Reserves held by the SBP rose to $10.96 billion from $10.52 billion a week earlier, while those held by commercial banks eased to $3.84 billion from $3.85 billion the previous week, said Syed Wasimuddin, chief spokesman for the SBP.

The data included $349.3 million received from the United States last week, as compensation for anti-militant operations, he said.
