Updated at: 1318 PST,  Monday, March 09, 2009
Situation returning to normalcy in Swat SWAT: Situation fast returning to normalcy in Swat after peace deal between NWFP government and Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi(TNSM).

Takhta Band road has reopened for traffic. The road was closed since one month because of tense law and order situation in Swat and check posts established by Taliban and security forces.

On Sunday, these check posts were removed with mutual consent in the presence of locals, peace committee and Ameer of TNSM Sufi Mohammad. The local residents have welcomed the decision of opening of road.
