PM approves new parliamentary calendar ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani Wednesday approved new parliamentary calendar.

Under the new calendar, the first session of National Assembly will discuss the President’s address to the joint sitting of the Parliament in the second parliamentary year from April 9 to 27.

The budget session for Budget 2009-10 will be held from June 1 to June 30.

The last session of the second year will be convened from February 8 to 19 in 2010.

It may be mentioned here that the Parliamentary year comprises 130 days.

A total of 10 National Assembly sessions will be held during the second parliamentary year.
