Updated at: 2334 PST,  Wednesday, April 14, 2010
Senate completes debate on 18th Amendment Bill ISLAMABAD: Irrespective of continued protests in Hazara Division over renaming of NWFP as Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the Senate today completed debate on the 18th Amendment Bill 2010.

Leader of the House Nayar Bokhari said that if there was sense of deprivation in any section, it could be addressed through new amendments.

Summarizing the debate, he said that negligence shown by the former members of the upper house had also been addressed.

Dr. Khalid Soomro said that division of provinces would be tantamount of breaking the country.

Senator Talha Mahmood said that there was no harm in establishing more provinces.

Chairman CRC Raza Rabbani assured that new reforms would be introduced in FATA after restoration of peace.
