Chennai wins toss, puts Mumbai into bat in IPL opener CAPE TOWN: The second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has begun with the start of the first match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings here on Saturday.

Mahindra Singh Dhoni, captain of Chennai Super Kings has won the toss and put Mumbai Indians into batting.

The teams for today’s match are:

Mumbai Indians: Tendulkar, Jayasuriya, Dhawan, Duminy, Bravo, Nayar, Pinal shah, Harbhajan singh, Zaheer khan, Malinga, Raje

Chennai Super Kings: hayden, Patel, raina, badrinath, thushara, oram, flintoff, joginder sharma, dhoni, gony, ashwin.

Second match will be played between Rajasthan Royals and Bangalore Royal Challengers today.
