LAHORE: The first women hockey academy of Pakistan has been launched after president Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Qasim Zia inaugurated it here on Friday.
Initially, 30 players are attending the PHF Women Hockey Academy under the women’s wing started at the National Hockey Stadium and later the number of participants will be increased to 50.
Olympian Zahid Sharif will be coach at the academy while Zaibunnisa and Razia Malik will assist him.
The players will be provided cricket kit and transport.
The players born on or after January 1, 1992 will be eligible for attending the academy. |  |
