 NA standing committee discusses education policy 2009

 ISLAMABAD: National Assembly standing committee on education discussed the National Education Draft Policy 2009 in detail here on Tuesday.

The committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of MNA, Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali.

Ghulam Farid Kathia, State Minister for Education asked the members of the committee to give their valuable suggestion, proposals to formulate a comprehensive national education policy.

Upon this the chairman standing committee constituted a seven member sub-committee under the convenership of Zubaida Jalal comprising Shakeela Khanam Rashid, Tasneem Siddiqui, Begum Nuzhat Sadiq, Farzana Mushtaq Ghani, Mir Ahmadan Khan Bugti and Dr. Nadeem Ehsan.

The sub-committee will formulate recommendations to enhance education budget of Balochistan. The sub-committee will also prepare proposals to make the draft national education policy, 2009 more comprehensive and effective.
