 JHANG: Provincial food minister Nadeem Kamran said on Wednesday that the government of Punjab would purchase 1.5 million tonnes wheat this year.
Speaking to reporters here, the minister said that he was visiting all districts of the province on instructions of Punjab Chief Minister so that the purchase of wheat at Rs950 per 40kg could be ensured.
He said that that the government was likely to get 18 million tonnes wheat from Punjab this year that was a record. |  |
