Jhagra asks Sufi to disarm Taliban
Updated at: 2003 PST,  Sunday, April 26, 2009
Jhagra asks Sufi to disarm Taliban PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-N Secretary General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra Sunday said that his party had backed the Nizam-e-Adl Regulation in Swat for peace and now it was the responsibility of Sufi Muhammad to disarm Taliban.

Speaking to reporters after addressing the party’s meeting here, Jhagra said: “PML-N fully supports the enforcement of Nizam-e-Adl and Swat truce deal.”

He said that some forces wanted to create unrest in Swat. Therefore, the government should take urgent measures for early implementation of the regulation.

Jhagra asserted that his party would also back the government’s actions to maintain supremacy of law and the constitution if writ of the state was challenged in spite of peace deal.

To a question, he said that PML-N would continue to extend his cooperation with the federal government.
