 SBP 2008-09 second quarterly report released

SBP 2008-09 second quarterly report released KARACHI: State bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released its second quarterly report for the current fiscal year 2008-09.

The report said that the financial management has improved and the indicators showing signs of economic recovery.

The report further revealed that industrial production during the last six months diminished by 5.4 percent, while the growth rate was expected to remain in the range of 2.5-3.5 percent instead of the targeted 5.5 percent. Most of the economic targets might not be achieved, as the economy would continue limping in slowdown.
