Case against Shoaib Malik still on NEW DELHI: India’s police said the case against Pakistani cricket star Shoaib Malik has not yet been withdrawn by the family of Ayesha Siddiqui; accordingly, the police will pursue it as it is, Geo News reported Thursday.

The police official investigating the case told an Indian newspaper that the procedure to end the case would a prolonged one, adding police have not yet received any request from Ayesha Siddqiui or her family to take back the complaint against Malik.

Police Commissioner AK Khan said he directed the officials that the case be dealt with in accordance with law.

The charges of cheating and injustice to a married woman were leveled against Malik.
