Updated at: 2012 PST,  Thursday, April 08, 2010
Nisar urges MPs to block path of dictator ISLAMABAD: Following the passage of the 18th Amendment, Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that parliament has proved our unity on the issues of national interest.

“We will now have to act in accordance with the real spirit of the Constitution,” he said, urging the politicians to make a pledge that they will not offer any support to a dictator in the future.

“We shall not accept the army that takes over the country,” he said.

The opposition leader suggested that Article 6 of the Constitution should once be applied to any military dictator.
