Over 55 militants killed in Buner, Dir: Athar Abbas ISLAMABAD: Director-General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Athar Abbas said on Friday that 55 to 60 militants had been killed over the last 24 hours during an offensive against Taliban militants in Dir and Buner.

Addressing a press briefing here on Friday, Athar said that two security personnel had been martyred in the offensive while 8 others sustained bullet injuries.

‘The operation is continuing successfully”, he said.

He said that the army was facing stiff resistance in Dir and Ambella heights and the people of Dir and Buner were fully supporting the security forces’ operation.
