 LAHORE: Lahore won the Sports Board Punjab Inter-district Under-17 Swimming Championship with 15 gold medals here on Saturday.
In the championship, held at the Iqbal Park Sports Complex, Lahore secured the first position with 158 points, Faisalabad got second with 69 points while Rawalpindi came third with 45 points.
Contests held on the second day were 200 meter individual medley, 100 meter free-style, 50 meter back-stroke, 50 meter breast-stroke, 50 meter butterfly, 50 meter free-style. Mohammad Shahbaz of Lahore won gold medals in all these contests.
The Lahore team was victorious in 4 X 50 meter free-style.
Mohammad Shahbaz by obtaining 13 gold medals was declared the best swimmer in the championship. |  |
