English team announced for first two Tests against NZ LONDON: England has announced a 12-man squad for the first two Test matches against New Zealand.

The first of three Test-series will begin from May 15 (Thursday) at Lord's.

All-rounder Andrew Flintoff, who was unavailable after suffering a left side strain during the latest round of Championship matches, has not been included in the team while fast bowler Matthew Hoggard is back as one of four seam bowlers, along with Ryan Sidebottom, Stuart Broad and James Anderson.

The English team will consist of the following players:

Michael Vaughan (captain), Alastair Cook, Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Tim Ambrose (wicket-keeper), Stuart Broad, Ryan Sidebottom, Monty Panesar, James Anderson, Matthew Hoggard.
