Intense offensive continues against militants in Swat, Dir SWAT: Security forces are carrying out fierce offensive against militants in Swat and Dir where acute shortage of food items and petroleum products is being faced due to the curfew.

According to sources, the migration is also in progress in the affected areas.

The security forces pounded the militants hideouts in Tehsils Maidan and Kalpani in Lower Dir, killing several militants and destroying many of their dens.

Militants positions were also targeted in Qambar, Piochar, Kabal, Brekot and Malam Jabba of Swat District.

According to Dir Media Centre, curfew has been relaxed in Tehsil Maidan from 8 am to 1 pm while the curfew will remain in force without break in Shangla and Swat District.
