3 killed in Karachi violence, 16 vehicles torched KARACHI: Three persons including a woman were killed and eight others injured during violent incidents in different parts of Karachi.

Unknown persons torched 16 vehicles in different areas whereas Rangers have arrested four miscreants for making rumpus.

Police sources said unrest started when unidentified persons tried to set on fire a bus near shoe market in Garden area. A woman identified as Amna wife of Haji Razzaq was killed and two others including a child were hurt in the incident.

Heavy contingents of Police and Rangers have been deployed at sensitive points in the metropolis.

After the incident, violent incidents reported in Liaquatabad, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Landhi, Teen Hatti, Garden, New Karachi, Shah Faisal Colony and Safoora Chowrangi.

Over dozen vehicles have been set on fire in the city, which was resulted in scarcity of public transport vehicles at the roads and commuters facing problems to reach to their work place, schools and colleges on Saturday morning.
