Less than normal traffic in Karachi on strike day KARACHI: Vehicular traffic remained less than normal on Monday in the wake of strike call given by Jiay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) while attendance in public and private organization was also affected.

However, the routine activities of daily life were restored in the city in afternoon.

The strike call was given by JSQM across the province against the migration of people of Swat and Buner to Sindh.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) expressed its dissociation with the strike call late last night. While President of Karachi Transport Association expressed readiness to bring public transport on roads on the strike day following a high-level meeting held in Governor House on late Sunday night.

However, public transport was less than normal in the morning and the citizens faced difficulties in reaching offices.
