Younis offered to play for South Australia
Updated at: 1518 PST,  Wednesday, May 28, 2008
SYDNEY: South Australia has offered Pakistan middle order batsman Younis Khan to play for the team in Australian domestic season.

South Australia coach Mark Sorell told media in Sydney that his side is still waiting for a final word from Younis Khan.

Sorell added it has been made clear that his stint with South Australia would not affect his national duties with Pakistan.

Terming Younis as one of the best batsmen in the world, the South Australia coach said recruiting him was an important step in the team's strategy.
