IPL: Kings XI Punjab win by 41 runs against Rajasthan NEW DELHI: Kings XI Punjab beat Rajasthan Royals by 41 runs in the 56th Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Wednesday.

Chasing a big target of 222 runs set by Kings XI Punjab, the Rajasthan team scored 180 for the loss of seven wickets.

Niraj Patel (57) was the top scorer for the Rajasthan team. For Punjab, Piyush Chawla took three wickets, while James Hopes scalped two.

Earlier, put in to bat first by Royals, Kings XI Punjab scored a formidable 222 for three wickets against the Rajasthan team in the last league match of the IPL.

Shaun Marsh scored an electrifying 115 off 69 balls that included seven sixes. Marsh was rightly adjudged Man of the Match. Hopes scored 51 while Yuvraj Singh raced to a breathtaking 49 off just 15 deliveries, of which six were dispatched for massive sixes.

Yusuf Pathan took one wicket, giving 24 runs.
