Food crisis endangers thousands of children: UNICEF TOKYO: The UNICEF has said that an acute food crisis has endangered thousands of children suffering from malnutrition around the world.

In a report published from Japan, the world body said that recent food crisis has badly impinged on efforts to save lives of African children facing malnutrition. It is feared in the report that prevailing crisis could have adverse impact on socio-economic development in African countries.

UNICEF Executive Director, Ann M. Veneman said that food crisis had also affected children in China and Myanmar.
