 ISLAMABAD: A Fact Finding Committee (FFC) has been constituted, which will determine the officials who were involved in alleged illegal promotion of former Additional Director General (DG) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Ahmed Riaz Sheikh, Geo news reported.
According to sources, Ahtesham Khan, Secretary Kashmir Affairs, is heading the FFC with a tough assignment to submit its investigative report to Premier Gilani within seven days.
Previously, the findings of committee had found Additional Secretary Interior, Tahir Sarfaraz, guilty of giving promotion to Riaz Ahmed Sheikh unlawfully, sources said.
It may be mentioned the FFC was formed in compliance with the orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP). |  |
