 LONDON: The 10-man Barcelona astonishingly qualified for the European Champions League final here on Wednesday as they drew 1-1 in their Champions League semi-final second-leg match with Chelsea to progress on the away goals rule after the first leg finished 0-0.
Chelsea looked to be on course for their second successive final against Manchester United after Michael Essien's blinding goal early in the first-half.
However, Barcelona - who had Eric Abidal sent-off in the second-half - somehow conjured up the crucial away goal three minutes into time added on from Andres Iniesta to go through instead.
Chelsea went beserk at the end of the match as they vented their frustration on Norwegian referee Tom Ovrebo - over what they saw as bad decisions over turning down penalties during the match - with Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba particularly furious and for which he was booked. |  |
