President urges for speeding up work on Balochistan projects ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Thursday directed Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani to speedup work on developmental projects in the province for the benefit of the people.

The Chief Minister who called on the President at the Aiwan-e-Sadr discussed with him developmental projects, law and order and the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package.

The President also inquired about the recent acid throwing incidents against women in the province and emphasized the need to bring to justice the culprits and also for proper medical treatment of the victims of the acid throwing incidents.

The Chief Minister apprised the President about the various steps that the provincial government have taken for the medical care and rehabilitation of the victims of acid throwing incidents in Kalat and Dalbandin and the investigations carried out by the provincial government.

The President said such barbaric incidents against women were painful and intolerable and asked the provincial government to nab the culprits and chastise them with exemplary punishment to avoid recurrence of such incidents in the future.

The Chief Minister also briefed the President about law and order situation in the province.
