Pak-Afghan TTA likely by end of 2009: Kaira WASHINGTON: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamaruz Zaman Kaira has said Thursday the proposed Transit Trade Agreement (TTA) with Afghanistan would be reached by the end of 2009.

This he told media men amidst a press conference here. He said the mechanism of trilateral cooperation, involving Pakistan, Afghanistan and United States, has been prepared which will most probably be signed by the end of the current year, keeping in view the reservations of Pakistan while a committee will closely monitor the the agreement throughout its process.

Kaira termed the joint strategy proposed for combating terrorism in Pak-Af-US interior committee’s meeting as need of the time.
