 KARACHI: Pakistan tea imports previous month valued at $114 million, which is about $8 million less as compared March.
Pakistan Tea Association said that the local industry presently facing greatest danger from tea being smuggled out to Afghanistan.
Global tea production on the average fell by 16 percent during the initial three months of the current fiscal year as against same period previous year.
Pakistan is the third biggest tea importing country in the world, while the demand for tea is ever increasing here.
