| GEO Pakistan | | Imran calls rulers ‘a problem for country’ | Updated at: 2330 PST, Saturday, May 08, 2010 LAHORE: Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan Saturday said the rulers are incapable of resolving people’s issues because they themselves are a problem for the country.
Talking to media here at Ganj Bazarpura, he termed the statement of Hillary Clinton about Pakistanis as shameful.
Imran Khan said President Asif Ali Zardari is accused of siphoning off Rs144 billion while PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has amassed wealth of 3 billion dollars outside country.
“There is no other option for a poor than to pay tax when people like Nawaz Sharif pay a meagre amount of Rs 5000 as tax,” he regretted.
The TI Chief said elimination of poverty and unemployment will continue to remain a dream unless the rich pay their taxes and bring their wealth to Pakistan from other countries. | |
