Siraj asks KP govt to quit on ‘failing to protect people’
Updated at: 2010 PST,  Sunday, May 09, 2010
Siraj asks KP govt to quit on ‘failing to protect people’ PESHAWAR: Central Amir Jamat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq Saturday said the provincial government should quit because it has failed to protect the people.

Addressing a public meeting of JI, Siraj-ul-Haq said the rulers have confined themselves to the boundaries of their houses, leaving the people to the mercy of terrorists.

The children cannot go to schools and markets give a deserted look. Peshawar, which was known as a city of flowers, has turned into a city of thorns, he said.

He said soaring prices, lawlessness and unemployment have made people’s lives a living hell.
