| GEO World | | Strong quake hits Costa Rica | Updated at: 0907 PST, Tuesday, June 01, 2010 WASHINGTON: A 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook the Pacific coast of Costa Rica on Monday night, the United States Geological Survey said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage caused by the offshore quake centered 46 miles (74 kms) southwest of the capital San Jose at a depth of 18.2 miles (29kms) below the sea.
