Anti-spurious livestock medicines drive tomorrow KARACHI: In light of the directives of Sindh minister for Livestock Abdul Haq alias Dost Muhammad Bhurt, drive against sale of spurious and substandard medicines and vaccines used for the animals and poultry will be launched tomorrow (Monday).

The drive is going to be launched by health department in collaboration with the livestock department.

For the first time the department of livestock is going to launch campaign against sale of the substandard medicines and vaccines.

The spurious drugs and substandard vaccines cause breeding problems in animals and poultry and promote multiple diseases.

Chief Drug Inspector A. Ab Memon will supervise the drive for the eradication of spurious medicines and vaccines.

Livestock department taking serious notice of mushrooming sale of the substandard medicines and vaccines of livestock and poultry decided to launch the campaign couple of days ago.

All those involved in the said illegal and immoral practice have already been warned to desist and mend their ways to avoid legal action.
