Talking to senior journalists on budget, the Chief Minister said the Punjab government, by presenting the tax-free budget, proved wrong what he called the opponents’ propaganda.
He said a record development programme of worth Rs193.5 billion has been chalked out for the next fiscal year. “Uplift works costing Rs135 billion have been initiated in the Southern Punjab where the critics had only spent Rs68 billion in a period of 5 years,” he claimed.
Shahbaz Sharif said special focus has been placed on education, health and agriculture sectors. The new projects envisage construction of hospitals, liver surgery, solar energy and installation of tube wells. | |
