 2 coalition soldiers killed in Afghanistan

 KABUL: Two US-led coalition soldiers died of gunshot wounds while conducting operations against insurgents in southern Afghanistan, the force said Friday.

The troops were killed in troubled Helmand province late Thursday, the coalition said, without revealing the nationalities or identities of the victims.

"One coalition service member died of gunshot wounds and two others were wounded while conducting operations in Helmand province Thursday around 8 pm," a coalition statement said.

The wounded soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment but one of them also died, the coalition said.
